Orange Fab Poland: A pilot program that can accelerate a startup’s growth

For a startup, the real test begins not when the product is ready, but when it needs to be validated in a real business environment. This is exactly where collaboration with a large organization brings the greatest value: the opportunity to run a pilot, access to experts, and a chance to refine the solution according to actual market needs.

Orange Fab Poland operates precisely in this model. It is an acceleration program in which startups can develop their technologies together with Orange, test them in practice, and build the foundations for further growth. Orange Fab is a platform for pilots and co-creation, while Orange Innovation Poland connects research, engineering, and business so that innovations can move into production as scalable and secure solutions.

What does a startup gain?

A well-designed pilot gives a startup more than visibility.

It allows them to:

  • validate the product within a large organization,
  • test the technology in a real operational process,
  • collect credible references,
  • refine the solution to meet the requirements of a large client,
  • build a stronger position in discussions with customers and investors.

This is why Orange reviews more than 200 startups in Poland each year and looks for projects with implementation potential.

Who is Orange Fab for?

Orange Fab is particularly valuable for startups that:

  • have a ready product or a mature MVP,
  • solve a specific business problem,
  • want to run a pilot within a large organization,
  • are thinking about large-scale deployment,
  • build solutions aligned with Orange Polska’s strategy.

Orange Fab works with the best accelerators on the market

For startups, an additional advantage may be the opportunity to grow with the support of public funding. As part of the Startup Booster Poland – Smart UP program, we cooperate with the following accelerators: Accelpoint, Huge Tech, SWPS University, and the Subcarpathian Innovation Center (PCI), acting as a Technology Recipient. Thanks to this support, we have been able to identify valuable startups with which we build new products and implement solutions within Orange. Startups may also receive grants to develop their products and test their solutions with us.

Examples of startups developing their solutions with Orange Fab

Chatporter

Chatporter develops conversational solutions that support customer communication, the use of knowledge within organizations, and the automation of selected processes. In the RCS AI project, the company is responsible for supporting the development of AI technology that has been integrated with the RCS messaging channel to enable companies to conduct modern, interactive, and personalized communication directly within the messaging app on a mobile phone. This is an example of a solution that can be used in customer service, offer presentation, after-sales communication, as well as selected sales and information processes. We carried out this collaboration together with the Subcarpathian Innovation Center.

CAPTiX

CAPTiX developed a solution that uses a robotic arm to automate the software update process for customer devices in Orange’s central warehouse. The result is greater efficiency, shorter process execution times, and a reduction in manual, repetitive tasks. We carried out this collaboration together with SWPS University.

Ampere Node

Ampere Node is developing an energy management system that helps companies optimize the production, storage, and consumption of renewable energy. The platform uses edge computing and AI algorithms for real-time monitoring, demand forecasting, integration with SCADA systems, and cooperation with energy storage systems. This solution is particularly important for organizations seeking greater energy efficiency and better use of resources. We carried out this collaboration together with Accelpoint.

QuestPass

QuestPass is developing a cashless paywall based on the questvertising model. The user answers a question related to an advertisement and, in return, gains access to content. For publishers and advertisers, this means greater user attention, reduced banner blindness, and better advertising communication effectiveness. This is an example of a startup developing a new model for content monetization and audience engagement. We carried out this collaboration together with Accelpoint.

AISP

AISP is creating a solution called Liczbox, which automatically recognizes vehicle categories and counts them based on video recordings. The solution supports traffic measurement and the work of road designers and transport engineers, offering, among other things, reports compliant with GDDKiA classifications, cartograms, and daily traffic profiles. We carried out this collaboration together with SWPS.

IoToak

Together with IoT Oak, Orange is developing a solution that supports efficient operations in crisis situations, as well as Augmented Worker AI, a tool supporting the work of field teams through the use of AR glasses and remote expert assistance. Both projects were presented by Orange at Viva Technology as examples of collaboration developed within Orange Fab. We carried out this collaboration together with Accelpoint and PCI.

TG3

TG3 develops solutions in the area of digital signage and offline advertising that help companies reach customers more effectively in physical spaces. The technology combines the broadcasting of advertising content with the ability to measure campaign results and support traffic in physical locations. This solution may be particularly valuable for organizations that want to better connect marketing activities with actual customer traffic in places such as medical facilities, sports venues, events, or other partner locations. We carried out this collaboration together with Huge Tech.

Why is it worth it?

The greatest value of Orange Fab lies in the fact that a startup is not left alone with its technology. It gains a partner with whom it can go through the stages of testing, validation, and practical refinement of the solution, with support from Orange experts. In this way, a pilot becomes not just an experience, but a real growth tool.
