Orange Fab: in pursuit of innovative solutions

2 November 2026

In recent weeks, we have actively engaged with the startup ecosystem, industry experts, and business partners. To stay closely aligned with evolving market needs, we took part in events focused on dual-use technologies, deep tech solutions, and urban innovation. Represented by Łukasz Skiba across all events, Orange Fab held numerous conversations with startup founders and explored emerging technologies with strong business potential.

IDA Bootcamp, Gdańsk – from situational intelligence to infrastructure resilience

We took part in the first and third editions of the IDA Bootcamp programme organised by PFR. The first edition, Situational Intelligence, focused on information analysis, AI, OSINT, and building situational awareness. The third edition, Infrastructure Resilience, explored critical infrastructure protection, Baltic Sea monitoring, and autonomous maritime systems.

By attending startup presentations and participating in workshops, we assessed companies developing technologies with dual-use potential. It was a valuable opportunity to explore promising business models and discuss how the Orange Fab acceleration programme could support the scaling of these solutions for both the defence and commercial sectors.

Deep Tech Summit, Warsaw – exploring advanced innovation

Another stop on our journey was the Deep Tech Summit at Warsaw’s Norblin Factory. The event brought together leading innovators developing advanced technologies across fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and industrial solutions.

Our focus was clear: networking and startup scouting. We held numerous one-to-one conversations, closely followed emerging market trends, and assessed the commercial readiness of selected technologies. We are looking for high-potential teams that understand the business value of their solutions and are ready to collaborate with a large corporate partner.

Urban Tech Hub, Warsaw – technologies for the cities

Our journey also took us to Urban Tech Hub, a PFR initiative connecting startups with local governments. At this event, we moved from listening and learning to actively sharing our own expertise.

Orange Innovation Poland (OIP) and Orange Fab were represented by Emil Kowalczyk and Łukasz Skiba, who presented two key areas of our work:

  • Orange Fab – We discussed our collaboration programme, smart city solutions, and how we can work with startups to test and deploy products that address the needs of local authorities.
  • MILI-GUARD – We presented this proprietary solution developed by OIP, designed to support the protection of facilities and critical infrastructure. It provided an excellent starting point for discussions on strengthening the security and resilience of modern cities.

Close to the Market, focused on the best

Taking part in these events is an essential part of staying close to the market. We closely follow developments across the industry, understand the challenges facing different sectors—from security to deep tech—and actively seek out the most promising solutions.

Orange Fab consistently engages where innovation is taking shape, working with business partners to develop, test, and deploy the technologies.
